Hello and thank you for showing interest in my blog! Within my studies at ECE, I joined a study-abroad program that will take me first into Lyon (FRA), then Linköping (SWE), and finally Macomb (USA). I am 22-years old, and about to live something exceptional. Here is my story, thoughts, experience

- Bonjour ! My name is Guillaume and I am a french student From ECE Bordeaux (Ecole de Commerce Européenne, a business school). I am actually part of what is called the Atlantis Program (a study-abroad exchange program with two american and one swedish universities). During the next two years, I am going to travel through Europe and America, to study business and learn about cultures.

What is the Atlantis Project ?
The Atlantis Project is an overseas exchange program that involves 4 universities:
-Depaul University (Chicago, Ill)
-Western Illinois University (Macomb, Ill)
-Linköpings University (Sweden)
-ECE Bordeaux - Lyon (France)
We are a group of 21 students from Europe and the US that are involved in this program, with different backgrounds. Depaul students are specialized in Information Technologies and computer science, to be general, the rest of the students being enrolled in business studies. This was designed to cross IT and business skills to cope with today's and tomorrow's flatworld issues, and at the same time learn about each others' culture.
The program is split into two periods, one year in Europe and one year in the US that are resulting in a dual-degree program. The first year is divided between the fall semester 07 in Lyon and the spring semester 08 in Linköping, the second year in either Depaul or Western Illinois University.
The European Union and the Federal Government of Illinois made this program possible by allocating funds to finance expenses related to a long period of study abroad.
